If you haven’t caught on the news yet, Harriet Christian made a huge fuss over the Democratic Party, ranting and scolding and arguing about the two candidates for the Democratic Party. News says that Harriet Christian is disappointed at the Democratic Party. Harriet Christian is an older woman and she claims that she is representing the whole of America and she is standing up for it.

Harriet Christian could have made a point on Youtube and on the news but what is democracy ?

By definition, democracy is a form of governance by which the political power is retained by the people and its exercised directly by its citizen or through their representatives which are also elected. Democracy hence its a form of politics, derived from a Greek word which represent “popular government”. Was that what Harriet Christian was arguing about ? What America was Harriet Christian standing up for ?

People who study politics are known as political scientist. They study a field called political science. In the field of political science, there are also political degree. Harriet Christian was emphasizing points that the Republican will win and what mistakes the Democratic party is making. These points are studied in the field of political science. People who study political science can attain political science degree and of course, work in the field of politics science jobs. However, a structured degree course will bring more substance and political models rather then just simple ranting like Harriet Christian.

People may spend years studying political sciences and in that, many famous political sciences have written papers which have moved politics and politicians and influence them in the policies they make. Do you think you can do better then the current government, then perhaps you could do better then a Harriet Christian and take up political science yourself !
